John P. McEneny is a Brooklyn-based playwright, director, and artistic director of Piper Theatre Productions, which he has led since 2000. He spent twenty-seven years teaching drama in New York City public schools and has directed more than one hundred productions. His work has been produced nationally and internationally, including at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and at venues in Bucharest and Malta. His plays and monologues have been published by Playscripts Inc., YouthPLAYS, Applause, and Smith & Krause. His writing often explores memory, history, moral consequence, and the ways people disappear inside love, systems, and belief.
